Joseph Pascarella

Joseph Pascarella was born on August 12, 1940 in New Haven, Connecticut. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vincenzo and Alessandra Pascarella. And by four siblings, Michael, James, Ralph, and Victoria Moss. He has one surviving sister, Susan Trufan of Texas. Joseph has nieces and nephews in various parts of the country. Joseph remained single throughout his life.
He was a life long resident of West Haven, CT, with the exception of about six months in North Carolina. Joseph attended school in West Haven. He was well known in the community and was a good neighbor and friend. He loved sports, playing sports with friends always there and ready to play. He loved walking and jogging along the West Haven shoreline.
Every year for years he would travel to Italy to visit relatives there and formed a close bond to the family there.
He worked for 33 years for the Connecticut Department of Transportation. After completing 25 years he received an award for “faithful service”. After retiring, he started working for himself cutting and splitting wood and was fondly known as “Woodchuck”.
He was polite and gentle to all that rendered assistance while living in an assisted living facility.
