Rebecca “Becky” Brantley Corbett, 86, of 4592 Brantley Road Zebulon, NC, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

Rebecca was the daughter of the late Leamon Lloyd Brantley and Madie Murray Brantley. She was an English teacher whose influence extended far beyond the classroom. Throughout her career, she was known for her love of literature and her ability to inspire generations of students
through education, encouragement, and example. In addition to her love for family and faith, Rebecca was an avid animal lover whose home and heart were always open to pets and animals in need.

Rebecca was a devoted Christian, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Known for her grace, wit, and unwavering faith, she faithfully kept her family in her prayers every night and was loved by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Fred Patrick “Pat” Corbett.

She is survived by her children, Patricia Robin Henderson and husband, Steve, of Zebulon; Patrick Shane Corbett and wife, Aimee, of Raleigh; and Amy Joanna Corbett of the home; her grandchildren, Emily and husband, Andrew, Brittany and husband, Carson, Cole, Olivia, Erin, and Luke; her great-grandchildren, Piper and Penelope; and many former students, relatives, and friends whose lives were enriched by her kindness, wisdom, and faithful example.

A visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Union Hope Baptist Church, 12712 W NC 97, Zebulon, NC 27597.

A church service celebrating Rebecca’s life will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Union Hope Baptist Church.

Rebecca’s greatest joy was her family, and she devoted her life to caring for those she loved. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor her memory may make a contribution toward the ongoing care and support of her daughter, Amy Joanna Corbett. Rebecca will be remembered for her steadfast faith in God, her devotion to family, her love of teaching, and the countless lives she touched through her prayers, kindness, and encouragement. Her legacy lives on through the family she cherished, the students she inspired, and all who were blessed to know her.
