Barbara Dodson

Barbara Ramsey Dodson, January 24, 1950 - August 27, 2022

Barbara lived a fulfilling life as a mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend. Barbara is from Chesapeake, VA and graduated from Deep Creek High School in 1968. She enjoyed so much about life that included traveling, spending time with close friends and family and helping those she loved. She is survived by her daughter Trisha Mason, her son in law John Mason and her five grandchildren Dylan, Jeremy, Keira, Lilliana, and Isabella. She is also survived by her sister Joann Outland of Woodland, NC and her brother James Ramsey and his wife Beverly Ramsey of Chesapeake, VA and her very close friend Henry Newsome of Ahoskie, NC. She is preceded in passing by father James W. Ramsey, mother Thelma O. Ramsey and son Carlton J. Dodson. There will be a graveside service Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 1pm at Oakwood Cemetery located at 701 Oakwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27601. The family is asking in lieu of flowers please donate to the American Heart Association in her honor.
