Caralee Jolin
Caralee Jean Jolin, 75, of Cary, NC, went home to Jesus on May 29th, 2022.
Caralee was born to the late James L. and Mary F. Boyd, November 4th, 1946 in Las Animas, Colorado. She graduated from Wasson High School in Colorado Springs. As a child, she enjoyed spending time with her father in the summers with her sister Sandy, she loved horseback riding and going to the stables to take care of horses. She participated in Girl Scouts and kept a loving watch over her siblings. An avid auto racing fan, Caralee enjoyed going to the racetrack and watching her brother, Dave, race.
Caralee met her husband, Jim Jolin, in 2004 at North Cary Baptist Church. They married on November 12th, 2005, and shared sixteen beautiful years together. A beloved wife and mother, she leaves behind her husband, Jim Jolin, of Cary, and three children: John C. Rall (Tammy), of Wilmington; Jodi L. Schmidt (Chris), of Fuquay; and Amanda K. Rall, of Wilmington.
In addition, Caralee was the oldest of five siblings and is survived by three; Twin sisters Marilyn Gray (Wayne), of Woodland Park, and Marlen O’Brien, of Colorado Springs; brother David Halter, of Woodland Park. Caralee reunites with her parents, son Clinton A. Rall JR., and her third sister, Sandra K. Owens, in Heaven.
Caralee was a dedicated and loving Sister, Wife, Mother, Aunt, and Grandmother. She was the most caring and compassionate woman who loved her entire family and was especially overjoyed with her grandchildren: Lauren Johnson (Josh); Savannah Schmidt, Christian Schmidt, Samantha Hood, Amanda Ruiz de Velasco, and Alex Miller. Stepdaughters: Jennifer Jolin and Jamie Hood (Rob). Sister-in-law Kathy Burrows (Larry), nieces Stephanie Merkle, Julie Woodard, Kimberly Curry, Katy West, and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. She enjoyed taking the kids, John and Jodi, on train rides and road trips in their van. She and a young Amanda would go the observation deck to watch the planes land. She spent much time gardening, seeing every lighthouse she could, and visiting with dear family members, Kathy and Larry. She also enjoyed a trip to Taco Bell! Caralee was a very active member of her church and sang in the choir. Throughout her life, she held an unwavering faith in God which she shared with all she surrounded.
