Dr. Carol Elaine Huey

Dr. Carol Elaine Huey was born on February 27, 1965, in Kingston, Jamaica, where she spent the first half of her childhood. Carol spent the second half of her childhood in Washington, DC, where she was raised by her maternal grandparents after her mother died in childbirth in 1975. In DC, Carol graduated from McKinley Technology High School in 1983. In 1988, Carol completed her bachelor's degree from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. She then moved to Philadelphia, PA where she earned a doctorate in podiatry.
During her career, Carol was a federal government employee, an adjunct professor and an independent business owner of Amway.
Carol was preceded in death by her mother, Lenorea Thomas, and her maternal grandparents, Beryl and Roy Blake. She leaves to cherish her life and legacy her father, Sedley Huey of Jacksonville, FL, her sister, Sharon Huey Moffett (Keith) of Maryland, her two brothers, Curtis E. Huey (Sarah) of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Joey Huey McIntire of Atlanta, GA. In addition, her nieces and nephews will be told wonderful stories of her, Tanesha Waid of Baltimore, MD, Avery and Amina Huey of Mechanicsburg, PA and Keith Moffett, II of Bowie, MD. Several aunts, uncles and cousins remember Carol fondly and will cherish the memories of her life.
The family will hold a private memorial service at City of Oaks Funeral Home and Cremations.
