Cecilia Sheetz Bland

Cecilia "Cece" passed peacefully with family by her side September 23rd, 2026.

She is processed in death by her parents Lou and Rosie Sheetz, her brother Randy Sheetz, her niece and husband Billy Bland Jr.

She worked at Investors consolidated Insurance company, located in Durham under Northgate shopping center until she retired. Enjoyed riding motorcycles, watching NASCAR and Duke basketball for many years until Billy passed away. Loved going shopping, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She had many adventures with her daughter and son in law until her last days and had to be transferred to a facility. Rose manor and staff have taken care of her for past 5 years until her last breath.

She is survived by her brother Steve Sheetz and wife Janice Sheetz of De Leon, Texas. Daughter April Carnell and husband Keith Carnell of Oxford NC.

City of Oaks Funeral Home & Cremations will be handling services for the family. No memorial services will be held.
