Charles Francis Perry (Frank)

Charles Francis "Frank" Perry, age 62, of Clayton, NC, and formerly of Buffalo, NY, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer. Frank lived life with a vibrant spirit and a wide array of passions. A proud Buffalo native, he never lost his love for the Buffalo Bills, while also embracing his North Carolina home by cheering on the Carolina Hurricanes. He possessed a deep appreciation for the craftsmanship of classic cars and found immense joy, patience, and creativity in building Lego masterpieces. Above all, Frank was a family man whose greatest happiness came from the time spent with those he loved. He was the beloved husband of Sherry M. (nee Szustakowski), with whom he celebrated 25 years with. Stepping into the father role, he leaves behind: Gerald (Courtney) Wilke III, Amber Contreras, Paul Szustakowski (Rachel Woodring), and Alyssa Perry (Matthew Gscheidle). Frank’s legacy lives on through his 15 cherished grandchildren, who brought immense light to his life: Tiffany, Jayden, Rasul, Kahlid, Natalie, Arabella, David, Zoey, Caden, Adrian, Paityn, Giana, Aspyn, Mason, and Kinsley. He is predeceased by his mother, Katherine Perry, sister Margaret (nee Peggy) Haudricourt. Frank will be deeply missed by his sister-in-law Wendy (late Kenneth) Perry, and surviving siblings: Donna Perry (the late Thomas Campbell), Virginia Perry, Maurice (Ellen) Perry, Carol (Bill) Barrett, and Patrick (Noreen) Perry. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Memorial services will be determined at a later date. In accordance with Frank's wishes, flowers are gratefully declined.
