Charles H Kuhls

Charles Hernaldo Kuhls, age 90 passed away peacefully on Friday, April 29, 2022 with his beloved wife, Georgia and other family members by his side following a long battle with Parkinsons disease.

Charlie was born on September 13, 1931; son to the late Hernaldo “Pete” and Harriet (Scott) Kuhls.

He grew up and spent much of his life in Upstate New York, and retired from Eastman Kodak in 1986. Charles earned his Bachelors degree in Chemistry at the University of Rochester, NY.

Charlie met the love of his life, Georgia Kuhls while working at Kodak, and they recently celebrated 70 years of marriage in February of 2022. Together, they had 3 wonderful sons, 3 Grandsons, 1 Granddaughter, 4 Great Grandsons and 1 Great Granddaughter. Charlie and Georgia moved to Raleigh, North Carolina years ago to be closer to their family.

Charlie was known to be an avid golfer all his life, and when he was unable to physically play any longer, he enjoyed watching tournaments on television. He won numerous tournaments, and always played by the rules of golf – saying “there are no gimmees in either golf (or life), you MUST putt everything out”.

He sank his last putt surrounded by loving family members while swapping golf stories and great memories to the very end, and then he was called to Heaven’s first tee to play his next round.
