Deborah Purnell

Deborah K Purnell passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 10th, 2023, at Wake Med, Cary, North Carolina.

Born in Martinsburg, WV, she was a graduate of Musselman Senior High. She was a mother to many and friends to everyone.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents Griggs Hoffmaster, Kenneth and Sue Thorpe; her sisters, Elsie and Lori Leonard; a brother, Timothy Thorpe all of Martinsburg, WV.

She leaves behind her husband, Gary Purnell, Raleigh, NC; one daughter, Anita Purnell of Raliegh, NC; two brothers, Brian Thorpe of Falling Waters. WV, and David Thorpe, Lakeland, Florida. She is survived by three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Services will not be held.

The family asks that donations be made to either the American Cancer Society or a local pet society in her honor.
