Donald Burleson

Donald Keith Burleson passed away on January 9, 2023, at the age of 66. Born on March 25, 1956, Don was the first and only child of Lt. Col. Louis Burleson and Virginia Burleson. Don is survived by his wife of 25 years, Janet, his two children, Andrew and Jennifer, and his two grandchildren, Emily and Elliott.

Don was a renowned database administrator who made a name for himself in the Oracle database community. After years of working as a database administrator for several large and well-known companies, Don left the corporate world to start his own consulting business with his wife. Together, Don and Janet operated a successful database consulting company for decades before Don’s retirement.

Don was a person of adventure who enjoyed traveling and new experiences. Don was an avid golfer, skier, certified scuba diver, and recreational and competitive target shooter. Don also had a passion for antiques, having collected and restored numerous pieces of antique furniture and other collectibles over the years.

Don was known for his many passions and unique sense of humor, which could be seen in his many popular blog entries and online articles. His humor and passion for adventure will be greatly missed.
