Dyne Erasquin

In Loving Memory of Dyne Hautea Erasquin

November 4, 1947 – August 23, 2026

There are some people whose lives cannot be measured simply by the years they were given, because they lived in the lives of so many others. Dyne Hautea Erasquin, 78, was one of those people. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, teacher, and to countless others who found themselves within the reach of her care, she became something more. She became a mother to them, too.

Born on November 4, 1947, Dyne built much of her life in Iligan City and dedicated many years to education as an English teacher at MSU-UTC in Marawi. Her influence reached far beyond books and classrooms. She taught with purpose, expected the best from people, and left lessons that her students carried long after they had left her classroom. Later in life, she moved to the United States, but distance could never erase the home she had built in the hearts of those who knew her.

Dyne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Miguel. She leaves behind her children, Joann and her husband Andre, Mitchellin and her husband Benedict, and her son Jourdane; her grandchildren, Francesca, Samouele and his wife Kathryn, Paolo, Ian, Matthew, Mason, Isaac, and Adreanna; and her great-grandson, Sky.

Rest easy Mama, you will always be in our hearts.
