"Fuzzy" Terry Wayne Carnell

Terry Wayne passed away peacefully on Friday September 18th, 2026.

He is now with both of his parents, Joyce Carnell and Leon Carnell. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Anthony Martin.

Most everyone knew him by his nickname "Fuzzy". The nickname was given to him years ago from his hair always being fuzzy or as we would say frizzy now a days.

He was a simple man of many trades and talents. Growing up he learned to become an electrician, a trade taught by his father. He went on to do contracting work at Durham Regional Hospital at the time and is now known as Duke Regional. He helped with many homes and housing complexes throughout Durham for many years.

He loved his family and his dog Neet with all his heart. He will be missed by many family and friends over the years that he has helped or needed help from. He would give you the shirt off his back or buy you one if needed.

Terry Wayne is survived by his two brothers, Keith Carnell and wife April Carnell, Jerry Carnell and wife Kim Carnell. He is also survived by his wife Tracy Pender Carnell, his son Robert Carnell, his daughter Dana Sakuei, and his daughter Tori Pender and fiancé Gary. Grandchildren; Haley, Rachael, Aliyah, Gabriel, Ava, Anthony and Jamison. He has many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and cousins that he loved dearly.

The family is being assisted by City of Oaks Funeral Home and Cremations. There will be no funeral services per his request. He wanted everyone to remember the way he was and to enjoy life as is.
