Gail Ann Robbins, 89, of Cary, North Carolina, passed away peacefully September 17, 2026, in Cary.

Gail was born November 14, 1936, in Hornell, New York, to Harold and Janet Parsons. She grew up in NY and PA, and went on to teach elementary school, building a life centered around family, friendship, and service to her community. She was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Robbins.

Throughout her life, Gail generously gave her time to others through community volunteering. She believed in being involved, lending a helping hand, and making a difference in the lives of those around her. She also treasured her friendships and loved nothing more than gathering around a table to play cards, share a meal, swap stories, and enjoy a good laugh.

Gail had a witty sense of humor and a quick mind, and she had a wonderful way of making people smile. Her warmth, generosity, and playful spirit made her a cherished friend, mother, grandmother, and sister. Those who knew Gail will remember not only all she did for others, but also the laughter and companionship she brought into their lives.

Gail is survived by her children, Allan (Alice) Robbins, Lauri (George) Robbins, Elizabeth (Steve) Triplett, and Lynette (Devin) Traynor; her nine grandchildren, Sara, Sam, Kathryn, Stellan, Mason, Drew, Elise, Jake, and Lauren; and her brother, Jon (Leslie) Parsons. She leaves behind a loving family and countless memories that will be treasured for years to come.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Go2 for Lung Cancer https://go2.org, and specify Gail Robbins as the Honoree.

The family is planning a private burial ceremony during the spring in Brevard, NC, to ensure Gail is near her closest loved ones.

Gail will be remembered for her generous heart, her commitment to her community, her love of friendship and family, and her wonderfully witty sense of humor. She brought kindness, laughter, and connection wherever she went, and she will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved her.
