Gregory Allen Ward

Gregory Allen Ward passed away on October 27, 2022, at the age of 70 after a short battle with cancer. Greg, as he was known to family and friends was born on June 9, 1952, at Fairchild AFB in Washington State. He and his wife Margie have been residents of Apex, NC since 1998.

Greg served in the US Army as a Military Police Officer during the Vietnam conflict, going in and out of Vietnam from Korea on a rotating monthly basis. He was proud of his service and regularly thanked others for theirs. He was a WWII history buff, always watching or reading something on the war and the greatest generation who fought in it.

He was married to the love of his life, Margie, for 24 years. They created a small paradise at their mini farm with lots of dogs, cats, and horses over the years. He always welcomed family and friends to enjoy it with him.

He owned and operated Dalton Carpet Brokers for 35+ years. All his business advertisement was done by word of mouth from his satisfied customers.

He loved his family, pets, friends, his home, fast cars and trucks, and enjoyed target shooting. He was a wonderful husband, father, and friend to those he loved and cared about.

Greg is survived by his wife, Margie, daughter, Jennifer, son-in-law, Daniel and grandchildren, Dylan and Meghan along with brothers Matt and Danny and sisters Danita and Suzi.

A celebration of his life will be held in the Spring of 2023. Date and time still to be determined.
