Hettie Stallings Wilson

Hettie Stallings Wilson joined her heavenly Father on November 16, 2021. Hettie was born in Selma, NC on December 8, 1923, the daughter of Walter and Sudie Ginn Stallings. She attended Hardbarger’s Business School and worked at Circle Tours and Fidelity Bank until she retired. She then volunteered at the Dorcas Ministries for many years. She and her husband were longtime members of The First United Methodist Church of Cary.
Hettie was predeceased by her husband Bill Wilson, Jr. of Cary, NC. She is survived by her loving family; daughter Alice and her husband James Curtis both of Cary, NC , son Steven Wilson, wife Martha Ikeda also of Cary, one grandson, Brian Walker of Dallas Texas and Greg Lippe. She was the youngest of eight children all who predeceased her, Millard Stallings, Jim Stallings, Fred Stallings, Ernest Stallings, Eloise Partin, Verdie Moreland and J.W. Stalllings.
Hettie never knew a stranger and was a friend to everyone. She had an amazing sense of humor and delighted in her family and friends. She enjoyed attending the Methodist Circle Club and doing the crossword puzzle with her sisters.
A private celebration of her life will be held at the family home. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date.
