Jeremey Strain

In Loving Memory of Jeremy David Strain
Jeremy David Strain passed away peacefully on September 26, 2026, at the hospital, surrounded by love.
Jeremy was born on May 9, 1971, in Montauk, New York, to Diane Elizabeth Williams and Roger Owen Strain.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Dawn Strain, and his beloved children, Logan Strain and Rachel Strain.
Jerry was a loving father, son, and husband. In the 1990s, he moved to North Carolina from New York with little more than a duffel bag of belongings and $250 in his pocket. Through hard work, determination, and an unwavering commitment to starting a family, he built a wonderful life.
Jerry was the kind of person who could make you laugh when you needed it most. His kids were his greatest pride and joy, and some of his happiest moments were spent simply being a dad. Whether he was working in the garage fixing four-wheelers, letting his kids enjoy rides on them, or helping them build things for their chickens in the backyard, he was always finding ways to create memories with them.
He was hardworking, loving, protective, and stubborn—but always in the best way. He was someone you could count on, always willing to lend a hand and help whenever he could. And if you needed help, chances were Jerry and his white Ford pickup truck would show up. That truck became almost as dependable as Jerry himself. He was always ready to help a friend, a family member, or anyone who needed him. He always made sure his children were taken care of and never hesitated to do whatever was needed for his family.
Jerry taught those around him to never give up, to work hard, and to keep moving forward no matter what life brought his kids way. His presence, his love, and the countless moments he shared with his children made an impact that will remain with them for the rest of their lives—not only through the words he spoke, but through the way he lived his life.
Jerry also leaves behind his three beloved cats, Roxy, Missy, and Otter, who absolutely had him wrapped around their paws. He never imagined he would become a “cat person,” but they quickly found a special place in his heart. He also had a lifelong love for dogs and animals of all kinds.
There will never be enough words to truly describe what Jerry meant to the people who loved him. We are grateful for every memory, every laugh, every lesson, and every moment we were lucky enough to have him in our lives.
Most of all, we are grateful for the life he built, the love he gave, and the legacy he leaves behind in his children.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
There will not be a memorial service.
