Jerry Morton Holden

Jerry Morton Holden, 68, passed away February 28th, at his home with his wife Lindy by his side. He was born June 22, 1957, in Wake County.
Jerry lived much of his life in Zebulon, North Carolina, where he built his family and was known for his strong work ethic and steady presence. He was a hardworking man who took pride in providing for those he loved. He was also known for his humor, enthusiasm, and his love of a good prank. His laughter and playful spirit brought joy to many.
Jerry was a man of faith, and that faith guided him throughout his life. He valued family above all else and leaves behind a legacy of strength, resilience, and love.
He is survived by his wife, Lindy Holden; his son, Jericho Holden (Rebecca); his daughter, Casey Pennypacker (Dan); his cherished grandchildren, Dawson Holden, Holden Pennypacker, Willow Mae Pennypacker, Colton Holden and anticipated with great love the arrival of another granddaughter in April; and brother, Jamie Holden.
Jerry was preceded in death by his father Rufus Wade Holden Sr., mother Rebecca Morton Holden, brother Wade Holden, brother Willie Ray Holden, and nephew Michael Holden.
Jerry will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him. His memory will live on in the lessons he taught, the work he modeled, and the laughter he shared.
The family will receive friends Sunday at 3:00 at Hopkins Chapel Baptist Church, 4525 Hopkins Chapel Road, Zebulon, with the funeral service to follow at 4:00.
