John was known throughout his life for his sharp wit and sense of humor. He didn’t know a stranger, could fix nearly any mechanical device and was a lover of many ‘Bonzos’ and furry friends.

John Vincent Haraminac, 84, of Cary, North Carolina, passed away on July 23, 2026, at Jordan Oaks Retirement Home. He was born on September 4, 1941, the son of Ann and Vinko Haraminac.

John was a devoted husband, father, brother, son, uncle, grandfather, and proud Army veteran who served as a Specialist 4th Class (SP4). Above all, he will be remembered as the family jokester, always ready with a smile and a story to make the people around him laugh.

John shared 60 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Judy Haraminac.

He is survived by his wife, children; Laura Roorda (Mitch Roorda) and Todd Haraminac (Karen Haraminac). He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Terry and daughter, Susan Haraminac.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Shawna Roorda (Dixie Dismukes), Jodie Blank (Michael Blank), Keegan Roorda (Megan Roorda), Claire Haraminac, Emma Haraminac, and William Haraminac; and his great-grandchildren, Paige Hukill, Hallie Hukill, and Ben Roorda.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Jordan Oaks Retirement Home, 10820 Penny Road, Cary, North Carolina 27518.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to The St. Jude Children’s Hospital in John's name.
