Kian Kolek

Kian Scott Kolek, 17, of Durham North Carolina passed away, unexpectedly, on August 2, 2021. He was born in Naperville, Illinois on July 12, 2004 to Scott and Cenith Kolek. Kian was a student at Leesville Road High School. He was smart and ready to start his senior year in high school. He loved recording music and was fascinated with cars. He made friends easily and was loved by many. He had a fun and unique sense of humor. He had sparkling eyes and a warm smile and brightened up every room that he was in; flashlight in dark times. Kian is preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Alberta Kittrell. He is survived by his parents, Scott and Cenith Kolek, brothers, Christophe and Jared Kolek, sister, Kriselle Kolek, grandparents, Don and Sue Kolek, several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A memorial service was held at Kings Park International Church in Durham. He was laid to rest at Raleigh Memorial Gardens. His memory lives within us forever.
