Laura Elisabeth Lyles

Laura Elisabeth Lyles, 56, of Siler City, NC, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones.

Laura was born on February 16, 1970 to Betty Jones Lyles and William Otto Lyles. Those who knew Laura will remember her beautiful blue eyes, her warm smile, and her kind heart. She will be remembered for her generosity, her friendship, and the many quiet ways she made a difference in the lives of others.

Laura had a lifelong passion for animals, especially her beloved horses, Vixen, Tobias, and Heloise, and her dogs, Oscar, Bella, Luke, and Leroy. She had a knack for whipping up crock pots of her famous ‘Screamin Chicken,’ decadent chocolate pies, and homemade hot chocolate after winter trail rides. She loved playing guitar around a campfire with her best friends, throwing parties to celebrate the people she loved, and spending quiet evenings on her front porch with her pups.

Laura is survived by her loving partner, Jim Linder; her sister, Catherine Lyles; her brother, Murray Lyles; and her cousins, Beth Hunsucker and Forest Hunsucker. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Laura's caregivers for the compassion, care, and kindness they gave her during her time in hospice.

A celebration of Laura's life will be held at her home in Siler City on November 7, 2026. Family and friends are invited to come together to share memories, stories, and celebrate the life of a woman who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
