Mary D. Goddard

Mary D. Goddard , age 91, died peacefully at the Jim and Betsy Bryan Hospice Home on March 29th, 2022. Born in Ukraine on March 4th, 1931 as Oxana Maria Magdalena Dibskaja, Mary emigrated to the United States in order to flee the outcomes of World War II in her homeland. She was an active member of her church, Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church of Raleigh, NC.
Mary is survived by her children, Veronica G. Hodges (Mark) of Wendell, NC, Chris W. Goddard (Mia) of Gastonia, NC, and Marsha G. Merton (Tim) of Chesapeake Beach, MD. She is also survived by many grand-children and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased in death by her parents and sons Derl Goddard Jr, Walter Goddard, Mark Goddard, and Rickie Goddard.
Funeral Services will take place on April 1st at 11:00 AM at the Holy Transfiguration Orthodox Church of Raleigh.. Burial services will be held at 1:00PM at Raleigh Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Jim and Besty Bryan Hospice Home of UNC or to the Ukrainian Red Cross.
