Mary Louise Brooks

Mary Louise (Begue) Brooks passed away on Monday, September 29, 2026, only a few weeks short of her 93rd birthday. Mary was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, the daughter of Robert and Julia Begue.  

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 66 years, Terry J. Brooks, and her daughter, Donna Brooks Ourand. She is survived her sister Roberta (Bobbie) Begue Spencer (Charles), daughters Patricia Brooks Vaughan (Billy), Robin Brooks, seven grandchildren: Erin Yowell (Brandon), Daniel Walter, Matthew Brooks Vaughan (Carrie), Kelly Vaughan Page (Chris), Rachel Ourand White (Elias), Jennie Ourand, and Trey Ourand (Jenny).  She was also blessed with 12 great grandchildren.

Mary was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She loved her family dearly. She was an outstanding homemaker, seamstress, and cook. She loved to travel and was an avid reader.
