She was preceded in death by her father, John Berlyn Northcraft, and her niece, Ian McClenny. Her mother, Marion Elaine Garner, followed her in passing on October 9, 2026.
Though life’s journey was not always easy, Meri will be remembered above all for the depth of her love and compassion. She had a willingness to help others and a genuine desire to connect with people, offering kindness, understanding, and acceptance.
Meri treasured time spent with family, whether sharing stories, working on crafts, or simply enjoying one another’s company. She loved reminiscing about her upbringing, her family’s musical talents, and the people and places that shaped her younger years.
She cherished memories of childhood friends and spoke of them with a warmth and familiarity that made it seem as though no time had passed, even after decades apart. Once someone held a place in her heart, they were rarely forgotten.
May she now find the peace, comfort, and rest she so deeply deserves, held in God’s everlasting love.
