Michael "Mike" Baker Sweat

Michael "Mike" Baker Sweat, 75 of Raleigh NC, passed away Friday, July 24, 2026. Mike passed away peacefully at Transitions after a brief battle with cancer surrounded by loved ones.

Born in Wake County, NC on May 11, 1951, Mike was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend. His kindness, hard work, and love for his family touched the lives of many. He built a successful career in floral sales where he was known for his dedication, strong work ethic, and many relationships he formed over the years. He served in the Army Reserves for six years. Mike was an avid classic car collector and enjoyed countless car shows where he also collected trophies and stories that he loved to share over the years.  

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Fay; his son, Gray Sweat (Kerri), and his brother Larry Sweat (Janie). He was predeceased by his parents Edward and Hazel Sweat, and his daughter Brandy Miller.

Family and Friends are invited to attend Funeral Services on Friday, July 31, 2026 at the Richland Creek Community Church located on 3229 Burlington Mills Rd, Wake Forest, NC 27587, where a visitation will be held from 3-3:45pm with a memorial service to follow.
