Michael Donilon, Jr.

Michael "Mike" F. Donilon, Jr. passed away peacefully at home on July 10, 2026, from complications of pancreatic cancer.

Born in Annapolis, Maryland, Mike was known for his creativity, kindness, warm sense of humor, sharp wit, and unwavering devotion to his family. He lived a life marked by generosity, integrity, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Mike earned a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Miami before going on to receive his MBA from Georgetown University. He built a successful career in finance and business development, holding leadership roles with The Walt Disney Company, Harley-Davidson, Ruth's Chris Steak House, SeaWorld, and Guinness. Throughout his career, he was respected not only for his professional accomplishments but also for the thoughtful, collaborative spirit he brought to every organization.

Service to others was an important part of Mike's life. He generously volunteered with the Early Learning Coalition of Orange County, Fresh Start Ministries of Central Florida, and Scouting, where he proudly served as an Assistant Scoutmaster. He gave freely of his time and talents, always seeking ways to strengthen his community and help others succeed.

Mike met the love of his life, Leslee, in the autumn of 1992, and they began dating shortly before returning to school in 1993. From that time forward, they built a life centered on love, partnership, and family. Mike was a devoted husband and father who found his greatest joy in sharing life with Leslee and their children, Abigail and Andrew. His steadfast love and support were the foundation of their family, and the memories they created together will be cherished forever.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Leslee; his children, Abigail and Andrew; his parents, Peggy and Mike; his brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Kelly; and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

Mike's legacy is one of kindness, generosity, humor, and quiet strength. He will be remembered for his quick wit, compassionate heart, and unwavering commitment to those he loved. Though he will be deeply missed, his influence and the example he set will continue to live on in the countless lives he touched.
