Patricia C. Grossman

Patricia C. Grossman June 24, 1947- May 22, 2026

Patricia Colette Grossman (née Owczarzak), formerly of Buffalo, New York, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026 in Apex, North Carolina. Patricia was the loving wife of the late William L. Grossman, the daughter of the late Alfred and Irene Owczarzak, and the younger sister of the late Raymond Owczarzak. She is survived by her daughters, Sarah (Doug) Fenik, Wendy (the late John) Penrod; and grandchildren, Nathan Penrod,
Andrew Penrod, Martha Fenik and Miles Fenik. She is also survived by many additional relatives, including her dearest cousin, Noree (Steve) Ash.

Patricia lived most of her life in Buffalo, New York. She was a graduate of Canisius University (1996) and worked early in her career as a secretary for National Fuel Gas Corporation, and later as the Director of Human Resources for The Jewish Community Center of Greater Buffalo. As she was Catholic, she liked to joke she would answer the phones with, “Shalom…” and end the conversations with, “Peace be with you.”

After her beloved husband, William, passed away in 2001, Patricia retired and eventually moved from Buffalo, NY to Raleigh, NC where she treasured living closer to her grandchildren. She was a beautiful woman, wonderful cook, voracious reader, talented writer, and a devoted grandmother.

Patricia was lovingly embraced by eternal peace after a long illness and will be missed. Final arrangements and services will be shared privately with family and friends.
