March 12, 1940 – July 8, 2026

Patricia “Patti” Phillips Webb, age 86, died on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 in Cary, NC.

Patti is survived by her husband of almost 61 years, H. Lee Webb, Jr.; their daughter Leanne, her husband Scot Glasgow and their children Sean and Catherine; and their daughter Susan, her husband Henry Meador, their daughter Hannah and her husband, Austen Crabtree. Patti is also survived by a nephew, Dan Phillips, and several cousins.

Patti was preceded in death by her father Morris Hudson Phillips; her mother Virginia Lorene Calhoon Phillips; her brothers, Morris Hagen Phillips and David Hobson Phillips; and her grandson William Webb Glasgow.

Patti was born in Elizabethtown, KY. She began piano lessons at a very early age, grew in proficiency, and was introduced to the pipe organ as soon as her feet could touch the pedals, leading to her graduation from Georgetown College, with degrees in Music Education and Organ Performance.

Patti was also a person of deep and firm faith from an early age and always knew that she would give her life and her gifts to serve God. While teaching public school music in Louisville, KY, she furthered her skills by continuing organ study. It was here that she and Lee found each other and discovered their complimentary gifts as church musicians.

After marrying in 1965, Patti and Lee served six churches together as Organist and Minister of Music: Chapel Park Baptist, Louisville, KY, and the First Baptist Churches of Elkin, NC, Lenoir, NC, Richmond, KY, Cary, NC, and Whiteville, NC. Patti taught music at various preschools and maintained a busy, private piano studio for many years. She was also an active accompanist for high schools, community choirs, and denominational choirs.

Patti was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother – always teaching, always loving. Her journey with dementia and other physical ailments took her away slowly over the past number of years, but she would still meet and greet you with a smile, help you finish a song or prayer, and light up when Lee sat down beside her.

A Celebration of Life will take place on July 26, 2026 from 2:00-3:00 at Greenwood Forest Baptist Church, 110 SE Maynard Rd, Cary, with a visitation to follow. If attending, please honor Patti’s love of colors.
