Patrick Thomas Grimsley

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Patrick Thomas Grimsley, who was born on October 5, 1980, and passed away on October 16, 2026. Patrick was truly his own person, with a unique personality and presence that brought energy to every room. He leaves behind cherished memories, stories, laughter, and countless moments that will be remembered for years to come. Deeply loved by his family and friends, Patrick held a special place in the lives of all who knew him. Though his passing came unexpectedly, we find comfort in the love he shared, the memories he created, and the lasting impact he made. Patrick dedicated over 25 years of his life to his career at Dent Wizard. As a World Class Platinum PDR technician and Impact Trainer, he was known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and the relationships he built along the way. Patrick is survived by his parents, MaryAnn and Bill Gripp, and Jack and Wendy Grimsley; his siblings, Matthew Grimsley (Kate), Laura Kelly (Dick), Julie Joyner (Jeffrey), and Carolyn Sutherland (Tim); and his beloved nieces and nephews, Jacob, Will, Evey, Susie, Edward, Edith, Elliot, Hazel, Richard, and Lucas. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly. Patrick is proceeded in death by his grandparents; MaryEllen Schwartz Hansen and John Patrick Schwartz, Jack Sr. and Helen Grimsley, Elliot and Elaine Buxton. Patrick will be remembered in the stories we tell, the smiles he brings to our faces, and the many ways he touched our lives simply by being himself. We are grateful that he was part of our lives and will carry his memory with us always. Please join us as we honor Patrick at a Celebration of Life on November 21st at Rocco’s of Raleigh from 3pm to 6pm. Wear your best Hawaiian shirt in his honor.
