Robert Errol Stone

Robert Errol Stone, 80, a devoted father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on September 25, 2026 in Bullock, NC.

Born on August 23rd, 1946 in Scituate, RI, Robert was raised by Robert L. Stone and Margaret E. (Howard) Stone. After graduating from Scituate High School, he joined the Navy and spent 2 years abroad in the Vietnam War on the USS Bonhomme RIchard. Afterward he worked in the family business at the A & W in CT, and later became a well known face in the Scituate school system, where he retired.

He married Nancy C. (Brown) Stone, and together they built a home that welcomed anyone needing an ear and a coffee. As a father, he was a coach and umpire in the Scituate/Foster Little League, and gave everything he could to his children and grandchildren. He was there for every occasion, and taught his children to be there for each other.

Robert loved building and driving classic cars, oldies tunes, family cookouts that included homemade clam chowder and clam cakes, and landscaping. He was also known for being a genuine person who you could count on.

He in proceeded in death by his wife Nancy, and leaves behind his child, Robert E. Stone Jr.; 2 step children - Brandon Restor of CT and Randi Restor of FL; 8 grandchildren; siblings - Melodie Hebert of Hope, RI, Christy Stone of Foster, RI, and Micheal Stone of Danielson, CT.

He will be memorialized in the NC Veterans Cemetery with a private service.
