Robert Watkins

Bob was born in Raleigh, NC on July 5, 1942 to the late Henry C. Watkins and Sadie B. Watkins. Bob was a southern gentleman who had many friends and never met a stranger. He graduated from Broughton High School and attended Campbell College. He was a veteran of the US Army. Bob was an honest man and he truly believed and loved God.
After 30 years as a district salesman at Public Service Company, he retired in 2000. He was a wonderful loving husband and father. He is survived by his wife Barbara Dillard Watkins, son Robert C. Watkins, daughter Laurie Beth Watkins, sister Sue Carolyn Thompson (Robert), nieces and nephews and many cousins and his beloved cat Zoie. A private service will be held on May 13, 2022 at City of Oaks Cremation and Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Transitions LifeCare Hospice or the SPCA.
