Sandra Inglis Tambling
March 29, 1938 – October 12, 2026
Sandra Inglis Tambling, 88, passed away on October 12, 2026, at Transitions Hospice in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Born on March 29, 1938, in Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada, Sandra met and married her husband, Laird Tambling, with whom she shared nearly 68 years of marriage.
The couple welcomed their first child, Marni, while living in Owen Sound before moving to Toronto, where their two other children, Tracey and David, were born. Their journey together later took them to Montreal, Quebec, and Canton, Michigan, before they eventually settled in North Carolina in the early 1980s.
Sandra and Laird made their home in the Raleigh area, where they built a house together in the mid-1980s and lived for more than three decades before moving to an apartment in their later years.
Sandra was a traditional homemaker who devoted much of her life to her husband and family. She also worked for several years as a floral designer, a profession that allowed her to express her creativity and artistic talents. She particularly enjoyed working with dried flowers, creating floral arrangements, and pursuing various arts and crafts. Her creativity extended to participating in local craft shows, where she shared her handmade creations.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, David William Inglis and Doris Inglis Kellar, and her brother, Gerry Inglis.
She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Laird Tambling; her three children, Marni, Tracey, and David; her grandchildren, Cameron, Daniel, Justin, Miles, Mia, Ethan, Ella, and Jackson; and her great-grandson, Remi.
In accordance with Sandra's wishes, no formal services will be held.
